Discipleship Explored

Wednesdays 7.30 for 8pm at The Courtyard Café, Dursley starting May 21st (then June 4, 11, 25, July 2, 9, 16)

Discipleship Explored is an informal 7-week course for anyone who wants to make the most of their Christian lives. It is perfect for guests who have been through Christianity Explored and have recently decided to follow Christ. It is open to anyone who wants to explore more about living the Christian life.

Looking at Paul's letter to the Philippians, guests can explore for themselves the meaning of Paul's words 'for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.' The course is designed to give you time and space to think about what it really means to live the Christian life. It will look at questions such as:

How can I be sure I am a Christian? What is life really all about? How can I grow as a Christian? How can I enjoy being a Christian more?

Those familiar with Christianity Explored will feel right at home. Each session has a group discussion, picking up on the previous week's material and a short study in Philippians, a short talk (by Simon Helme, Minister at Dursley Tabernacle) as a theme for that week, and a further group discussion on issues arising.

Week 4: Transformed By Christ - Philippians 2:12-30
Week 5: Righteous In Christ - Philippians 3:1-9
Week 6: Knowing Christ - Philippians 3:10-4:1
Week 7: Rejoicing In Christ - Philippians 4:2-9 & Content In Christ - Philippians 4:10-23

No charge – though you have to pay for your own refreshments and any course materials (handbooks are £3)
